The Artistry Behind Ziimara
Behind our iconic logo are nine artisans.
Artisans play a key role in Ziimara. Our brass emblem radiates with their energy and skill - it takes 9 pairs of hands to create each piece - truly a work of connection and alchemy using techniques both ancient and modern.

William | Master Brass Artisan | Hardware
With insufficient funds for university, Nicholas was introduced to the world of brass jewellery by his friend in Kibera. He enrolled into training and picked up the craft quickly. With 17 years of experience, he is now a master artisan. He loves that brass has given him a creative outlet where he can fashion both simple designs and intricate, complex pieces.
William learned his craft through hard work and an apprenticeship. Having practised for 14 years and with an entrepreneurial spirit, he runs his own brass business and is proud to have created jobs and opportunities for others in his community.
