In the 21st century, who would have thought that less variety could be more meaningful? Or that season-less style would be a conscious decision made?
Though revolutionary, providing more affordable clothing to the mass-market, fast-fashion should no longer work. Not for the environment, nor for the people involved in the value-chain.
In a world where trends change rapidly (with the existence of micro-seasons as well), we have decided to craft our own path, taking things slow. "Pole pole" as said in Swahili (pronounced po-leh po-leh). Believing in the timeless elegance of season-less pieces and doing things at our own pace, we aim to minimize waste and keep production in-check. We don't want to become a part of the problem that trends cause on the environment - we want to help solve it.
Take a moment to admire the image below... does it belong to spring, summer, winter or autumn? We know, it's tough to tell.
We are not afraid to do things differently. We may offer less variety but what we do offer are choices that make a difference. By consciously curating a smaller collection with fewer variants, we avoid over-production and over-consumption. We do believe slow living is the way to go and that's why we make our collection in small-batches. Plus our use of deadstock materials sometimes dictates the variety and quantity.
