We give 1% of sales of every collection to a nature-based solution. Our Aardhi collection is inspired by land and soil, and everything that grows on it so we have decided to support the TIST tree-planting, agroforestry project in Kenya designed to make an impact on the community as well as the land.

 

With severe deforestation having taken place between the 1960s-1990s, Kenya is now the least forested country in Africa with much of the degraded land not being regenerated. This project aims at using farmers to plant a variety of species of trees to improve soil health and biodiversity. The farmers eventually gain carbon finance but also receive additional income through the nuts, fruits and traditional medicine the new plants may bring.
